Hi,

Just wondered if someone could please help. I am struggling to resize an image without massively reducing the quality.

Do you have a solution ?

Many thanks

James

A picture is worth a 1000 words, if not 28.

Hi Dave,

Thank you very much, that's good to know. If the picture is a little bit
distorted it doesn't matter, it's for a mini logo

Best wishes

James

Hi

A couple of issues there

First 1080 x 700 does not go down to 200 x 200 without either cropping the image to make it square or distorting the image to squash it into a square.

Second, you are moving from 756,000 pixels to 40,000 pixels. Therefore the image is put into only 5% of the original pixels. It is never going to contain the same level of image information. The best you can do is use an algorithm designed for reduction such as Bicubic Sharper but that cannot put back the 95% of information that is lost in the reduction of pixels.
