Hi Y'all,

I have been scouring the internet looking for answers on how to use the color decontamination tool on Photoshop CC and I have not found a recent and reliable/helpful resource. I would appreciate any advice or tips on how to color decontaminate my photos with because the color fringing is too noticeable for me to ignore. I am pretty new to using Photoshop so any simple yet effective tools would be amazing. Thank you!

Sometimes it's just easier to fix fringing by hand. I use a paintbrush set to color to paint over the fringe so it blends into the background. With a brush selected, you can hold down alt/opt to access the eyedropper and select the colors as you go. Do it in a new blank layer to stay non-destructive.

I edited this photo in Lightroom Classic with basic tools but wanted to touch up a few things in Photoshop including the color fringing which you can see around the child's face/body area and around the green plants in the tub.
