How can I get rid of the auto select from the move tool forever??!?Help!!!

The command key alway has been my fast key for the moving tool. I click off the auto select when I use the move tool so it works fine. But while I use a brush or any other tool, when I press the command, the move tool defaults back to auto select again. Then I have to select the move tool to move the layer that I want to move. It slows me down and frustrates me like crazy!!! Does anyone know how to turn off the auto select period? I don't need that option ever! Help!!

    Please post the exact name of the Adobe program you use so a Moderator may move this message to that forum

    This is hard-wired and can't be disabled by the user. The Command key for selecting layers has been part of Photoshop for many versions before "Auto-Select" ever appeared on the options bar. If you want to make a feature request for the Adobe developers, you can do that here:
