Question

How can I PERMANENTLY disable/hide "Target Path" on shapes?

I'm currently using Photoshop version CC2023.  MacOS 13.5.  I didn't used to have this annoying issue with previous versions.
Whenever I create a shape, whether a square, circle, whatever...I get the blue bounding box/outline whenever that layer is selected.  So I have to manually "hide" that outline by going to VIEW>SHOW>TARGET PATH and uncheck it.  I have to do this every time I open a new file.  Since I work with a lot of files, I'm constantly having to do this manually.
My question:  Can I PERMANENTLY disable(HIDE) the Target Path, so that whenever I open a new file, I won't have to manually hide it?
It's highly annoying, especially when I need to add a stroke to these shapes.
Even when I manually hide the Target Path, save the file, close the file, then reopen the file, the Target Path is again shown.  Annoying.

i've found the solution for you, just in case u still need it. Just select Move tool, and press gear icon on menu bar, and uncheck all option, and compound path no showing up anymore

Hitting cmd-H should be easier than manually maneuvering the dialog.
