Question

How do I add a photo in a new layer?

I'm trying to add a photo in a middle layer (through place embedded or linked); I click on the file, resize it fit to where I want it, place it, but then it disappears?

Why is it not "sticking" on to the layer?

My goal is to sandwhich an image between two images that are the same to make it looks like it belongs.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Elle

Photoshop has multiple ways to do just about anything, including adding images as new layers. I recorded this video to show eight different ways you can combine images into a single Ps document. Maybe this will help.

Are you hitting enter after you size it?

Are you bringing in the photo via File and Place?

If so, hit enter, like mentioned above, and the photo will be, its own smart object, on that layer, and then you can just drag that layer,
in-between whatever layers you wish in the layers panel.

Ok. Also wondering, if I place an image in its own layer, can I go back and resize or warp it?

When I click back on the layer to work on that particular image, I can't seem to manually adjust it the way I want it to.
