How do I uninstall Dropbox

My Photoshop problem remains unsolved.

One participant told me to install Dropbox on my computer and upload

the file.

I did this against my better judgement.

Now, every time my computer turns on, Dropbox asks for my computer password,

which I am not about to give.

I cannot find any way to uninstall this software.

I have gotten no response from Dropbox, and see in their forum that

it is virtually impossible to uninstall.

I understood that the forums were moderated, and Adobe would delete

a post recommending slime-ware.

Hopefully, someone from Adobe can tell me how to get this off of my

iMac, since this is the forum where it was recommended.

BTW  My printer continues to print photoshop text in the color red.

    Dropbox is perfectly reputable software. I have used it on Windows and Macs for many years with no issues. It does what it does very well.

    Why is Black Text in greyscale mode, Printing out Red?

    It was suggested on these forums in the discussion linked above because it is a widely used platform here for sharing large files with large groups of people. There are many other similar services you could use such as Amazon.

    That said, I appreciate that you don't like Dropbox and don't want it on your computer. That is your choice and that is fine.

    Have you followed the instructions on the Dropbox website?

    Thanks so much for the link, John. 

    I'd tried finding uninstall dropbox via their help, which didn't work.

    But your link got me to the uninstall instructions.  Unfortunately, it is

    worthless garble.

    They tell you to click on options which do not exist.

    Finally, I just deleted the app folder.  I'll call Apple call tomorrow.

    Off the top of my head,

    . I clicked on dropbox on the menu bar, and clicked on the wheel for system prefs, as it instructed, but the categories that they mentioned did not exist.  There was no account tab.  I clicked on an account details button, but it was not right. 

    . Next, I went to the part with Activity Monitor, and that did work well.  I was able to delete a couple

    of items that said Dropbox.

    . Could not find the Dropbox Helper Tools Folder, following their instructions

    . Unable to find Dropbox System settings, via the finder, as they suggested.

    . This is when I went to the Dropbox folder in Applications, and deleted it, and the Dropbox icon.

    Gear wheel > Preferences.

    A box pops up and you click the Account tab, then Unlink...
