Question

How do we "Place linked" for Adobe Cloud Documents

Dispite the confusion surrounding the difference between Creative Cloud files and Adobe Cloud documents, there is now a way so sync files across mobile and desktop apps.

I have a question. I would like to "place a linked file" into a photohop file - the problem is the file I want to place is an "Adobe Cloud document". How can I do this in a way that I can carry on editing the "Adobe Cloud Document" file with those updates to behave like any other asset, located on my computer, cloud etc.

I also can't see how we can locally back up these cross-device documents (e.g. .psdc) to manage/ housekeep our cloud storage limits.

I can't find an answer to this either. The new Cloud PSDC format seems to be griefing me at every corner. Linked PSD are major part of any UI workflow and essential, dont force a new cloud format when features dont even support it.

Can this please get an answer because we can not use Cloud storage effectively without being able to link files

This does not help as it doesn't mention the new Cloud document formats at any point. This seems like a huge oversight from Adobe!

Hi! Did you ever solve this issue?

Thanks!

Came to ask the same. There is no option in the "place linked" dialogue box to access cloud documents. I only see that option in the "open" dialogue box. It's frustrating to think that we would have to first open the cloud document and duplicate it locally before placing, particularly since we would just have to do it all over again with a new copy if we edited the placed file on another device and it only saved to the cloud.
