How I pload HEIF photos from iPad to Creative Cloud

Puzzled newbie has a question. Recently got Creative Cloud for using Photoshop on PC desktop. I want to edit photos taken with iPhone, stored in iClould+, accessible also from my iPad.  I thought I could upload photos from iPad to Creative Cloud and then access them from Photoshop on the desktop. But when I try to upload HEIF photos from iPad to Creative Cloud am told that “file type not supported”. Q: Does Creative Clould support HEIF? Has anyone suggestions for how I can do this? Maybe directly from iCloud+ to Creative Cloud?

Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. Lightroom can quickly fill the missing gap in your workflow & it might be more in your favor than you asked for.

Try Lightroom mobile on iPhone & iPad, and it is included in your subscription already: https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/mobile.html

Images imported in Lightroom mobile are uploaded in full-size to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com). This makes the images accessible at all times in the Lightroom ecosystem.

In Photoshop, at the home screen, you have a dedicated tab for Lightroom images from where you can open & save the edits back to the cloud. Or, you can install Lightroom on the desktop & send images from Lightroom to Photoshop. Check this to get started: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/how-to/lightroom-photoshop-edit-photos.html

Let me know if this helps. Thanks!
