Question

HOW IS THIS NOT A THING YET? Assignable Brush Rotation

This is in reference to a request that has been around for SEVEN YEARS now. I stumbled upon the initial 'idea' post years ago when I was looking for a way to assign brush rotation to a mouse wheel, and have continued to lament the fact that it STILL goes unacknowledged or implemented by Adobe. Considering they're obviously able to release a new software package every year, it amazes me that we're still manually adjusting brush angle with the completely outmoded dialog box, like artistic apes.

WHY ADOBE. WHY CAN'T YOU MAKE IT SO?!

Hi

This forum is user to user (i.e. answered mainly by volunteer users not Adobe developers) . The developers do watch the forum you linked above so that is the best place for the question.

In case anyone new to Photoshop is puzzled by the question, rotation is assignable - just not to some of the controllers that some users would like (e.g. mouse wheel/keyboard).

Also by selecting 'Direction' the brush orientation will reflect the direction of the stroke

Thanks Terris - that's cool for stuff like calligraphic strokes, but when using texture brushes, that strategy isn't really what a lot of us are looking for.
