How many features/functions are there in Photoshop? It doesn't have to be in the recent version and it can be an approximate.

    Goodness.  That's one heck of a question.  Is this for a class?

    I would say that the answer is infinite, because tools, filters, plugins, etc can all be combined in scripts or actions, so there is no limit.  To give a more definitive answer, you'd need to provide some parameters, like do we count tools, filters, colour management, third party plugins and extensions (they alone have no upper limit)?  Or do you just want features like Photomerge, HDR, Puppet Warp, Perspective Warp etc.?   Without tying down the question a bit tighter, it is impossible to answer.   It's an interesting question though.

    If anyone could give you a good answer, it would be Jim from ProDesignTools.  We'll see if we can scare him up for you.

    If someone can come up with a more exact count that would be good. I would just ask for stock features without customization or third party items.

    One book pointed out that with 500 commands, Ps is indeed the 747 of image editors. (CS6, The Missing Manual).

    This picks up from CC to CC 2017. Photoshop CC new features | More library asset support

    72 in total from 1.0 to CS5...and some were dropped in subsequent versions, for example Image ready.

    43 from CS5 to CC

    95 from CC to CC 2017 = 220 not counting improvements in existing features.
