Hi All,

I have an odd problem: sometimes when I open a photoshop file I see it not as I saved it last time.

How could I check if a file is corrupted?

I would like programmattically check or detect if I have corrupt files in the storage.

Thanks in advance

Francesco

Hi

Sorry, I use local drives so cannot answer your log question.

You might want to take a look here - it emphasises that Adobe does not support working on network drives but it does give some tips the major one being save to a local drive then copy to the network:

Hi

Corrupt files tend not to open, or they open but the on screen image is corrupted.
Are you saving to a local disk or a network drive. If the latter, which is not officially supported by Adobe,  does anyone else have access that could overwrite with an older version?

I'm saving in a network storage. I doubt that someone access and draws black areas. Can I activate a log in the file to know who have manipulated it eventually? If yes, how can I do it?

No one is editing your file. What is happening is Photoshop writes faster than your connection can handle so the files corrupt and the lines show. All this is due to saving directly to a network which is not recommended per the reply above.

That is not a corrupt file symptom. Are you certain you are not saving to another location and the newer file is somewhere else?

Yes, of course sometimes I saw a black area or some black line
