How to export Illustrator text to Photoshop without losing editability?

How to export Illustrator text to Photoshop without losing editability? I am tying to edit a text in After Effects but it has to be as a Photoshop file so I can convert it into editable text. I get error 52 0 when trying, and I suppose that's because my text, which was indeed text in Illustrator, turns into an image when saved as a psd file from the Illustrator export (yes, I chose to leave text editability on).
