@_Jane_Doe_ you have two choices in the Photoshop print dialog: let Photoshop handle color management, or let the printer handle color management.
I don't know anything about direct-to-film printing, but I assume this is a specialized printer, and this will all be built into the printer driver. In that case you can choose "let the printer handle color management". Just to be safe, make sure your original file is in a standard color space like sRGB or Adobe RGB.
If they do provide icc profiles, you can set that in the Print dialog and "let Photoshop handle color management". In most printing on paper situations, this gives you a bit more flexibility and potentially higher quality - but there shouldn't be any immediately visible differences in overall appearance between the two options.
Bottom line - I think I would approach this as a typical RTFM situation. Read the manual when you get it. I'm sure it will all be there 🙂
