how to make brush taper off at the ends with pen pressure

how can i make this brush taper off at the ends as i apply pen pressure ? (using XP pen drawing tablet)

i have been adjusting all of the parameters but nothing seems to do it

i had to update the driver for my tablet.

photoshop was not recognising the pen pressure
