How to OVERRIDE an already existing JPEG, WITHOUT creating a copy. Like in 2018

Photoshop 2018 use to be able to override (Save on top) of an already existing JPEG file.

In the new version (2019, 2020), the extension "-copy" is added despite telling the app to override (Replace) the file.

How can I disable the new "feature" without rolling back my OS to an older version?
