How to place pictures around a logo in a cool way?

I have this cool logo that i want to place in the middle. And a lot of pictures of athletes and brands such as nike and adidas around the logo, with cool effects and all. I am new to this. So if you have any similar vidoes or can tell my how to do it from the scratch, please do:-)

Please post some of your sample images.

Solid Color Layers set to the Blend Mode »Color« or Gradient Map Adjustment Layers might be helpful.

The clipping of the individual parts will probably be unavoidable.
