Question

How to replicate Night Light ( Blue Light filter ) from Windows in Photoshop?

Hello everyone,

so I was painting an artwork in photoshop and finally finished it.

Unfortunately, I made a stupid mistake. Since I sit a lot at the PC, my Windows is always set to the night light mode, the blue light filter. This also changes the colors.

Now I'm looking for a way to create a similar filter in Photoshop, so that I get my "real" colors, which I also painted with. Otherwise when I upload my work, everyone will see totaly different colors on their screens . Since blue light filter is not default 😕😕

Info:
Windows 10 has a Night Light setting which gently reduces the monitors blue-tones, giving the screen a warmer look

What I tried so far is:
Layer → New Adjustment Layer → Photo Filter with "warming filter".

Even played a lot with the sliders of this warming filter, still not a good result 😞

Anyone an idea? :s

Hi

Reset your monitor to standard (without that your colour management will be broken as your display profile will not match your actual monitor).

Then add a curve layer at the top of your layer stack and adjust the individual Red, Green, or Blue curves to get the colour effect that you require. You will probably have to drag down the blue curve as painting with a monitor that displayed with a reduced blue will have resulted in blues being too high.
