below is something I would like to replicate in photoshop cc 2018

Is there an easy way to figure out what font family this is?

Also, since I'm using a different font at this point, I've been trying to figure out the bevel and emboss layer style used in the below image. does anyone know how I can figure this out? I've been playing with the options but haven't figured it out yet.

Hi!

I tried to duplicate the effect you've uploaded, and as you can see, we are close--but it's not exactly the same. Your image looks like it's been done in a program like Illustrator and the Beveled edges look like they have been hand drawn. There are a lot of things that you can do with Layer styles, but as you can see from my example, they can't accomplish the hand drawn Bevel look noted above. See the example below (BTW the font I used is Helvetica Neue Black Condensed set at 80% Horizontal Scale.

Since it's not exact, I didn't upload screen shots of the 5 different layer styles i used to get this look--but if you want them I would be happy to upload them for you.

You already have good explanation. Here is my set of actions which will automatically create effect on separate layers so you can examine how deed is done https://www.designeasy.co/2018/05/free-retro-effects-photoshop-actions.html

It's not always a matter of applying one style. This could be as many as 5 layers with different color overlays and masks.

One - white outline
Two - light violet with masking applied

Three - stripe

Four - light violet with masking applied

Five - dark violet
