How to reselect marquee tool?/How to undo only selected layer?

I made adjustments to it and so on so its important not to draw fom 0,

I then made a duplicate of a layer in witch the main selection of eliptical was selected

then i made layer via cut.

However the lines of selection from marquee disapeared, and i cant undo it as undo it to continue from it, as it effects overal job ant not in layer only.

What are you actually talking about - the »marching ants«?

The last Selection can usually be loaded with Select > Reselect. 

 

Please post screenshots to illustrate the issue.

What are you actually talking about - the »marching ants«?

The last Selection can usually be loaded with Select > Reselect.
