how to round corner in photoshop ?

Hello,

I am trying to draw a lab flask in photoshop. But I failed to have a round corner. I can draw it manually, with pentool, which I dnt want to.

Like in Adobe Illustrator I can use Corner Widget, is there anything like that in photoshop I might miss?

I notice I onliy get round corner option in properties if I draw vector shape rectabgle (ONLY rectangle). Other than that if I draw shape (which has corner)  using pen tool (shape) no round corner option appear in properties.

I know very lil about photoshop. If this a very basic level question Please dnt lose your patience.

Thank you.

@Rainy_Sky

In Photoshop, you need to draw a vector shape first, then you can round the corners in Properties.

Illustrator is a bit more robust with this feature. You can copy paths from one application to the other, though. Try copying the path to Illustrator to round the corners, then copy it back to Photoshop.

Or draw the entire lab flask in Illustrator, which is much better for drawing. Then copy and paste it into Photoshop if it needs to be there.

Hi Jane,

Yes, like c.pfaffenbichler said I will do what you wrote.

Thank you so much.

As you already observed there is no such thing in Photoshop as of now.

You can place the vector elements from Illustrator as Smart Objects to maintain editability in Illustrator.

Or you can achieve a somewhat similar effect by applying Median as a Smart Filter.

Some other workaraounds might be feasible depending on the shapes, please post screenshots.

I agree with @jane-e , if you have the full CC license it would seem best to create that element in Illustrator and paste it as a Smart Object in Photoshop.
