How to turn off default Show Extras in PS2019

Hi All

 

Is there a way to keep "Show Extras" off by default in PS 2019. I have never had the phenomenom of having to manually turn off my grids on Everysingle file I open until i started using 2019 and there seems to be no way to make the defualt off. Unless I've missed something...

      Yes, that is what I do everytime I have to open a file. I'd rather not have to do that everytime I open a file. I'd rather be able to turn them on if I want to after I've opened a file. But I cannot seem to find an option that defaults to having them off.

        It should stick when you deselect it from that menu, try selecting None from the menu and closing Photoshop, you can then turn them on as required

        If that doesn't help try resetting your Photoshop preferences

        You may want to backup your settings beforehand
