how to uninstall camera raw plugin?

I'm currently using PS5 12.0.4x64. Changed my camera to Canon Powershot G16 and the old PS will not read my raw files (CR2).

I downloaded the camera raw 6.7.1 plugin and realises it still does not open the raw file. I want to remove the plugin and try downloading version 6.7. How do I "downgrade" the camera raw plugin?

Unfortunately, photoshop cs5 will never be able to open the native canon G16 camera cr2 files, since photoshop cs5 can only use up to the 6.7.1 camera

raw plugin and the canon G16 requires at least the camera raw 8.2 acr plugin.

Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications

Depending on what operating system your using, you could use the adobe dng converter 8.3 or 9.2 to convert the G16 files to dng copies, which then photoshop cs5 should open.

(use the 8.3 dng converter if you have windows xp, vista or mac os x 10.6.8)
