How to use text on image when being scaled for 200%

So I have a iMac 5K and working in Photoshop cc. I understand the scaling happens outside of Photoshop for large pixel screens. The issue I have is I want to put text on a image in photoshop 100% zoom then outside of PS it scales to 200% and the text is pixelated.

My question is how do I edit my image in Photoshop so that when it scales at 200% the text is still crisp (without making my image larger)?

Try saving it at double resolution so that when you increase the size, you won't get such a bad result. Hope this is helpful

So then it will display at 400% size, and with the same scaling effects.

The real problem here is the outside app scaling. Photoshop just deals with pixels, it knows nothing about what the other apps do.

Yep. If the text is rasterized, it's all down to the scaling algorithms used in those other applications. It's out of Photoshop's control and nothing you can do there.

Text scale well when scaled with vector graphics. The thin is Text on images in imaged files like Jpeg and PNG is no longer vector text layers text is merge with your image's pixels. How well that will scales depends on algorithm used and the quality of the images and the amount of scaling. At 1/2 resolution 2x there should be no distortion however the image and text will be softer for the image is being displayed at a lower resolution than the display's resolution. Four display pixels will be used to display a single image pixels. The Image will be seen larger and softer because of this scaling..
