How to view what filters I applied in an old .psd file??

Hi. I created a cool Halloween picture last year in Photoshop CS4 using a .jpg image and applying some filters. I want to recreate this year, but I can't remember what filters I used. I still have the saved .psd file. HOW CAN I view the history of what filters I applied to a .jpg layer in a saved .psd file?

As JJMack said, unless History Log is turned on there's no way to tell which filters were used.

If the layer is a Smart Object Layer, you would have a list of the filters that were applied and could easily recreate the same look.

In the past I was in the habit of naming my layers with the filter settings used. Now I mostly use smart filters on smart objects. It's pretty impossible to remember what I did to a file last week let alone a year ago.

Thanks. Unfortunately, it's not a Smart Object Layer. Just a layer of a photo with a couple of filters applied. I'll keep experimenting to try and match!

Do you have history logging configured to log what you do? Most like myself do not.

Thanks--I don't appear to have History Log turned on. I guess I'll just have to keep experimenting with the original photo to see if I can match last year's look!
