HTML File only opens in Chrome, no other browser.

Hello,

I'm working on creating an email AD for the company I work for. I've got the hyperlinks perfect and save settings correct (or so I thought). But my file will only open properly in Chrome and no other browsers (safari, firefox, etc...)

What can I do to make the html file compatible with ever browser or am I stuck with it only opening in chrome unless I get another program?

I suspect your issue could be the code generated by Photoshop. CS6 is getting pretty old, and browsers change frequently. Your email might work in those browsers--just older versions that were CS6's contemporaries (which might not be what you want if you're sending it out to people who will be using current browsers). If you're creating HTML emails frequently for your job, it might be a good idea to get familiar with the code side of it. You can open the HTML up in Dreamweaver to look at it there. If you have questions on the code side, I'd recommend asking in the Dreamweaver forum.

How do you make this HTML file with Photoshop, exactly? What version, and what settings?

However.... email HTML is very specialist and you probably need to us an app made to do that specific job. Normal HTML in a browser probably won't cut it.

I create the html file by going to "save for web" then setting the file as a "jpeg high" and saving it. When I hit save, I make sure it saves the file as an "HTML and Images" File.

I am using the 2014 Photoshop CS6

I would thing an HTML file will open in a users default browser  on their system the is associated with html files or http url protocol. In my case that would be Chrome.
