Hue Cube isn't showing the current colour.

im working on a project for school and i can pick colours and use them, but if i want to shift the hue, saturation, tint or anything about the colour i cant do it acuratly as the hue cube that i use to do that isnt represeting it correctly. It wont shift the hue nor anything, like i never changed colours. is this a setting i accidently turned on?
