I can't close Photoshop.

I randomly seem to get a program error when attempting to open a file or close photoshop. I have to force-close it with CTRL+ALT+DELETE. I have reverted back to previous versions multiple times and this will still happen to me. It started happening 2 weeks ago randomly and hasn't stopped.  It will work for a few days and then suddenly stop working properly. HELP!

 

I have been using Photoshop for over 20 years and a Creative Suite member for a long time.

    I have the same problem

      It is still happening.  Cant open any files or close photoshop without the program error. I will post the info again next. Please help me. I have paid a lot of money for PS over the years and this is crippling my work.

        Try resetting your Photoshop preferences manually. Note: Reinstalling does not automatically reset them so you could be installing over bad preference files:
