I can't crop

When I transfer images from Bridge to PS the system won't let me crop.

What version of Photoshop?

How are you using the Crop tool? Any clue as you have given us nothing to go on.

I'm incline to suggest resetting Preferences, or at least resetting the crop tool, but it's just a guess.
