I need to copy this rectangle but it says Could not complete copy because the selected area is empty

So I need to copy this exact rectangle into another photoshop document but I'm always getting the error message as stated in the title of this post.

Is there any solution to this?

Hi, check that the layer targeted in the Layers Panel has actual content.

I any Selection active? (Is Select > Deselect grayed out or not?)

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, Properties, Paths, …) visible?

Is the Move Tool selected or the Pen Tool or …?
