Question

I've had these lag problems for years and I've found nothing about it...

I use photoshop mainly for drawing and illustrating, I have a pretty beefy pc with atleast 32 GB Ram which 21 of go to photoshop alone, I use basic brushes but almost everytime I work for a time and suddenly the lag starts, often closing and reopening the psd im working on fixes the issue but I've been doing that for years and its driving me insane.

It starts with brushstrokes just lagging behind, sometimes I switch to the eraser just for it the moment I touch the screen with my pen to revert back to a brush and draw instead of erase or the opposite way around. While simply lagging when drawing on my screentabled, when I switch to the mouse and draw the line only appears when I release the mousebutten and then draws the whole line all at once.

Has someone an Idea what I could do? My only thought was to switch software since im fed up with photoshop.

I'm having the same issue, and have been for a while.  It's serious frustrating, but I found "work arounds".  But now it's SOOOOOO slow it's taking entirely too long to edit this wedding that I'm working on.  I'm getting really angry and have been thinking of switiching programs, but 1) I'm not sure what else to go to, as I've only ever used this program (and my brain can NOT comprehend Photoshop for whatever reason)., and 2)  I don't have time to RELEARN how to edit.  So I'm following becuase I'm not sure what to do about it it.
