I want the rotation keystroke on my wacom tablet pen to work as hold not toggle. How can I do that?

When I hold "R" keystroke on my pen It gives me the rotation tool (which is what I want). But when I let go of it the rotation tool stays, whitch makes me click on "B" for brush everytime I use the rotation tool How can I change it to hold instead of toggle, jsut like the pan/scroll keystroke option I have? I feel like I waste a lot of time clicking "B" after every rotation and I rotate my canvas a lot, almost on every line.

If your wacon tablet supports touch you can rotate with two finger touch rotation however switching between finger and pen is not easy. Use your keyboard if setting a Tablet button does not work for you.  I had no problem setting the Wacom intuos pro bottom button to R and pressing and  holding it..  However, a tap of the button will switch to the  rotate tool.  Its the Hold part that does not switch.

Note: Adobe broke Photoshop WinTab Support in the 21.1 update.  You need to be using Windows INK interface with Windows Photoshop version 21.1 and newer for pen support.

You should not have to. If you have the brush tool active you should be able to press and hold the "R" key. Photoshop should temporary switch to the Rotate Tool so you can rotate your work with the pen. When you release the "R" key the brush tool should be active so you can paint with your pen.  If you just tap the "R" key that is the rotate tool shortcut. Photoshop will switch to the Rotate tool. It is not a  toggle it a select rotate tool for if you tap the "R" key again it will not toggle back a previous tool.  "R' is the Activate Rotate tool shortcut.

If Photoshop is not operating like that try resetting all Photoshop tools. And if that does not fix Photoshop try resetting you Photoshop preferences. Photoshop 21.2 works correctly on my Windows 10 2004 system.

Press and hold "B" would have been a better choice Adobe could have chosen to temporary switch to the rotate tool.  For a tap of the "B" key would not switch the brush tool for it the active tool.

Oh I didn't know that. Holding down R on your keyboard really does toggle the rotation tool, but Im still having the same problem. I keybinded "R" on one of my wacom pen button. When I try to use it by holding it, it toggles it instead, so it forces me to press B every time I use it. Turns out it doesnt work if I keybind it to wacom buttons, or am I just stupid and cant figure it out?
