Hi

I suggest you try reset Photoshop’s preferences & see if it helps?

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

You may want to backup your settings beforehand:

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

It may be time to reinstall photoshop. Use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.

Uninstall photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.

Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.

I hope this helps

thanks

ICC profiles have an external file name and an internal profile name. They may or may not match each other. You can use ColorSync utility to inspect the internal name. You may find that it is installed, just not with the expected name.

Hi Stephen.

great idea - and one I'd not thought of,

but the OP says that although they can see the profile listed in "convert to profile" but it's not visible in "Photoshop manages color" when printing.

strange, maybe a reset of Photoshop’s preferences will help

WOW this is amazing some one got back thank you so much..

Firstly the "edit convert to profile" YES its in there to select, i selected it but again it doesnt apprear in the drop down box "Photoshop manages color"

Ive logged out of the main photo shop site and then logged back in again NOTHING

Question  - shall I delete the app from Mac and re install, the app sits in the mac's bottom tool bar ??

I took advice from the Ink Experts and there steps to take to get the ICC profile into my macs Colour Sync folder for photoshop to recognise the profile. they have helped alot but hence why im talking to you as no one can get this to happen.

Hi Matthew

You wrote "my ICC profile" -  that's a printer profile I presume?

Are you sure it's in the right place?

Are you referring to Photoshop's "Photoshop manages color" profile dropdown menu?

You'll need to quit and restart Photoshop to see a new profile.

Opening then closing 'Color settings' used to fulfil that need but it seems unreliable now.

If yes to the above, try double clicking the profile, which should open the Colorsync Utility, unfortunately that doesn't have many features, but at least it proves your profile is recognised as such by the Mac OS.

Next try Photoshop's "edit convert to profile" - I'm not suggesting you make the conversion, just check whether Photoshop can list your profile there?

Let us know how it goes -

I hope this helps

thanks
