image based drop down menu?

Hello,

I am working on a project where I want to have a dropdown menu that expands with images inside of it, instead of just text.  Is there a way to do this or am I nuts? I'm a student, by the way, so I'm struggling a bit doing this.

I had designed the layout in photoshop and saved images & html.  I'd really like to use the menu that I sliced up in Dreamweaver with the dropdown option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
