Image file size discrepancy

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding photoshop. I have an image file on my desktop which is 2,617KB, when I look at the file info. However when I open it in photoshop, it says the Image Size is 69.3M (Resolution 300ppi, Width 39.24cm, Height 45.41cm). How can there be such a discrepency between the size of the file on my desktop and the size of it in photoshop? Veyr grateful for your advice!

¿Dón ves el tamaño del archivo? ¿En Windows, explorador, propiedades?
