Images open in the top right of the workspace

In the newest version of Photoshop, images are opening in the top right of the workspace. Also, when I click on a menu item, the column to the left opens.

 

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, resetting preferences to no avail.

 

Any help to fix this would be appreciated.

    I fixed it. I had changed the DPI settings in the .exe file for and that's what was making it happen. Note to self..

    I have a similar problem. When I try to duplicate an image or use any of the top topics, a slim white column opens with a few arrows. Cannot access 'duplicate' or anything else from these narrow white columns. Baffling.
