Import Gradient greyed out

Hi :),
so I've been working on a poster for a couple of hours now, and I wanted to import some gradients from a gradient pack I created some time ago, but for some reason, the "import gradients" option is greyed out.

What could be the cause of this issue?

The PS document is 6000 x 8400 px in size

RGB color mode

8 bit.

Photoshop CC Version 24.6 (German)

OS Windows 11

Desktop PC

It might be that you already have too many gradients loaded.

Delete a few of the sets and then see if can load more.

Hi

I also notice that add new gradient at the bottom of the gradient panel is also greyed in your screenshot. So I wonder if your gradients settings file is full or corrupt.

I would do the following:

1. Select and export any gradients you want to keep that are not in the default set or already saved in a separate set.

2. Go to C:>Users > username > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop 2023 Adobe Photoshop 2023 Settings and rename Gradients.psp to Gradients.old

3. Restart Photoshop

4. Add a gradient and close Photoshop - that will create a new Gradients.psp file.

5 Open Photoshop and add or import any new gradients as required.

Note: if that does not resolve your issue, you  can delete the new Gradients.psp file and rename the previous file from Gradients.old to Gradients.psp again
