I am new to the downloaded photoshop.

I use a Macbook. It puts my photos and screenshots into iphoto.

I seem unable to find the files for opening iphoto images in photoshop.

Please advise how I can import iphoto app photos into photoshop. My photos no longer appear in my pictures folder.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I am not very saavy with computers so please keep instructions simple.

Thank you

Janne

iPhoto and Photos are pretty much the same thing in this regard, apart from the actual name.

Photos are imported into a proprietary database. The images are stored within a "package". This is generally found in your User account folder > Pictures folder with a name of:

Photos Library.photoslibrary

You can "show package contents" with a contextual/right click and view the database folder structure (don't mess with this).

Macintosh HD⁩ ▸ ⁨Users⁩ ▸ ⁨[ username ] ▸ ⁨Pictures⁩ ▸ ⁨Photos Library.photoslibrary⁩ ▸ ⁨Masters⁩ ▸ ⁨2019⁩ and so on into months etc.

Copy images from the "Masters" folder for the original/highest resolution image.

If you mean iPhoto and not the newer Photos app, try the last comment in this thread:
