Hello

PS 22.3.1

Macbookpro retina 2015

Mac OS Big Sur 11.3.1

I need to install a print color profile in order to see how my photographs comme out.

Profile is: Canson-Infinity_P20000-Lustre310.icc

I put the profile in those two folder (since I don't know which one is the right one)

-MacintoshHD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

-MacintoshHD/user/macbookpro/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

This use to work and I have been adding profiles for decades... But now I don't see the profile on the list when I want to convert my image from Adobe 98 to this (Epson) profile.

Any idea Thank you!

Profile is: Canson-Infinity_P20000-Lustre310.icc

Correct answer davescm

You PM'd me the profile and the answer was, as per my last post, a different internal profile name. The internal name which will appear in the Photoshop list of profiles is cifa_p20000_lustre310_p_bk.icc

Just one thing - did you check the entire list in Photoshop?

ICC profiles have both an external file name such as Canson-Infinity_P20000-Lustre310.icc  and an internal profile name which can be the same( minus the .icc part ) or can be entirely different. It is the internal profile name which is shown in the list of profiles in Photoshop.

If you put the profile into dropbox or similar and post a link I will check it

Hello

You were right!

I actually downloaded the profile from Canson Papers website and it appears under that name!

Once again I learned something from the community!

Thank you very much

You can try here:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color Profiles

(There's another one here: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color/Profiles - I think the location has changed.)

Restart your machine - in case you haven't 😀
(Also it's the root /Library, not ~/Library)

Try installing in this location

-MacintoshHD/(YOUR USERNAME)/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

The location is hidden on most Mac OS, but if you

Finder >> Go >> Hold Down Option Library  will appear

Hello

Yes this is what I did.  But it doesn't work. I can't see the profile in the list when I try to convert.

I'm desperate about this problem....

Thank You anyway.

The name in Finder and in Photoshop need not be identical, have you checked the profile’s names?

-MacintoshHD/user/macbookpro/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

is not

-MacintoshHD/(YOUR USERNAME)/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

so please post meaningful screenshots.
