Inconsistence Overlay Tool when using the Crop tool when generative expand is selected

Question

Issue: I often use the cropping overlays when cropping images. When using the golden spiral I chnange the orientation of the spiral using the usual keyboard short cut Shift + O
Step 1 invoke the crop tool
Step 2 click inside the file to invoke the overlay
Step 3 press shift + O to orientate the overlay. In this case Spiral overlay.

Expected result: The overlay should rotate through the various orientations
Actual result: When "generative fill" is selected it takes focus from the overlay tool and gives it to the text entry box on the Generative Expand Pin Bar. It doesn't do this if The fill options -Transparent(Default) or Content-Aware Fill are selected on the top bar

Hey, can you record a short video on what's happening exactly? If you mean that the focus remains on the dropdown for the Fill type after you pick one, and you can't do anything else, that's been a Photoshop bug / bad design on Windows for years on various dropdowns, most notably the blend mode dropdown in the layers panel. You have to hit Enter first, or you can't do anything else but press up/down arrows to change the selection.
