Question

Installed PS 2019 & all I get is a black screen. Now what?

I've been a CC user since the beginning and I've never had issues like this. I'm on an iMac running OS High Sierra 10.13.6.

The first time I installed PS 2019 it took forever to open. I had to click on the screen to get the image to show up (???). None of the windows would work. I couldn't do anything but quit. I uninstalled and then downloaded it again. Now all I get is a black window. Nothing.

What am I doing wrong? Or is this just really messed up and there will be an update? BTW I can still use PS 2018 without any issues.

    Hi Moiran,

    Sorry to hear about this.

As you're getting a black screen at launch, could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

    Regards,

    Nothing changed.

When I double click on PS2019, it goes right to the black-gray screen.

I can't open a file or create a new one. This is so frustrating. I've never had problems with CC software.
