Hi there, I see this post is not very recent, but I just figured out how to make Dr. Brown's work in CC 2017 (Mac OS X El Capitan), if you haven't found a work-around already.

Do a manual installation, but place the items into different folders than it says in the original instructions -- locations of the folders the files need to go in have changed with updates to the OS. I think this is why it stopped working for everyone.

Go to /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2017/Presets/Scripts. Place the icons folder, Image Processor Pro.jsx, and Image Processor Pro.xml files in there.

Then, in Finder, click Go - Go to Folder, and copy and paste this path: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Bridge CC 2017. Place the Dr Brown Services.jsx file in there.

That's all you have to do! It should work; you might have to restart your computer. Hope this helps everyone!

Adobe pulled Dr Brown off of Photoshop and he through the stuff he had on his site over the wall to Open source.  Part of Dr Browns services was Image Processor Pro a Plug-in Automate script.  Ross (X) has updated that for CC 2015.  You can download that from ps-scripts - Browse /Image Processor Pro/v3_2 betas at SourceForge.net

There are also a lot of Scripting issues in CC 2015 IMO you should still use CC 2014.

As for the rest of Dr Browns services I have not seen any activity for supporting them as open source..... and one of his recommended programmers Michael Hale has passed and his site is no longer active.

You may want to try asking over in the Adobe Bridge Forum most of Dr Brown's services was for the Bridge.................

If you extract the ZXP file and copy the Dr. Brown Services.jxs to the Adobe CC Bridge startup folder the other services may work but it may also conflict with the updated Image Processor Pro for two Dr Brows services were listed in Bridge Startup scripts prreferences.   I removed  Dr. Brown Services.jsx from my bridge CS6 and CC startup script folders for I want Image Processor Pro.

Welcome to the Russell Brown Show and this helpful set of scripts, panels, and actions that can assist with several of your design and production tasks. These utilities can be extremely helpful, but they are definitely not perfect. They can occasionally fail and cause some inconveniences.

Please do NOT install these scripts unless you fully understand that I will not be able to easily answer your technical support questions if you have problems. I enjoy making these tools available for free, but I just do not have the time to answer all the email support questions that come my way. I truly apologize for this inconvenience and I hope you understand.

Please enjoy.

Open Source!

The Open Source code is now available for many of my script and panels

Because of new projects and a changing demand for my time, it will be necessary for me to move on to new projects at Adobe. For this reason I will no longer be able to support, or update many of my scripts and panels. Never fear! – I am releasing the source code for many of my programs and if you are a programmer then you can use this code to modify and change my scripts to meet your needs. If you are not a programmer then I recommend working with anyone on the list of programmers that I have supplied below. However! Let me make it clear that his code is not to be sold. This is an open and free source to be used for the good of humankind and Adobe Photoshop users around the world.

May the source be with you...

Included in this release:
- Dr. Brown's Services
- Adobe Emailer
- Adobe Watermark Panel
- Adobe Water Colour Assistant

Hi moshmosh007,

Greetings.

I am not sure whether it will work with PS CC 2015, as on the website it is not mentioned anywhere that the script is compatible with PS CC 2015.
