Is there a cutout filter but with rounded edges?

hi there,

as per title request I'm trying to find a way how to get the same (or similar) results of cutout filter but without the angular pointed edges. What i'm after is same effect but rounded corners. Is there an alternative method/filter or even app if needed to achieve such result?

so far i've tried combination of filters but haven't come across anything interesting. the closest I got was by doing the cutout effect then apply noise > median, but the result loses all of its sharpness and it's not what i'm looking for (however it did somehow make the edges rounder...ish). Important that each "cutout" remains solid, no feathering or gradient or anything.
