Is there a way to sort your swatch colors? (not folders)

I have a swatch group with a lot of colors... how do I organize it so that it doesn't wrap and cluster all the colors in an unpredictable way and certain colors stay together, say, all the reds together, all the yellows together, etc?

Putting each color into seperate folders is cumbersome and the headings/folder title takes up too much space.  There certainly must be a way to sort colors based on either name, or luminosity or some kind of metric right?
