Is this email genuine?

I recieved an email today telling me to update my Photoshop. I already have the latest version (25.5.1). The download is a file named Photoshop_Set-Up.exe. Scanned with Norton, which says no problem. Is this a genuine Adobe email, or malware? Email came from mail@email.adobe.com.

My guess is it’s fake and should not be run. Photoshop updates are delivered through the Creative Cloud desktop app, not standalone updaters through emails.

Even though the email seems to come from the adobe.com domain, that can be spoofed. One way to inspect it is to set your email application to view the headers, and inspect lines like “X-Mail-from” to see if it says what the real sending server was.

That's a guaranteed scam. They would never email an .exe file, that's not how this works.
