Is their a way to isolate skin tones or even just certain shades of color in photoshop? I mean like how you can qualify skin tones and other colors in davinci resolve so that the skin looks natural in a grade and doesn't create a color cast on the skin. Basically I want create a color graded portrait but I don't want the skin to look super blue or purpley.

You could use Select > Color Range. Use Localized Color Clusters would help to isolate the selection to certain areas.

As an addendum to another recent inquiry, I posted a Tech Sheet I wrote that is related to skin tones. You may find helpful. You will find it at:

As I am not familiar with DaVinci Resolve it might be useful if you actually posted meaningful screenshots of a source image and the result you want to achieve.
