Issue with changing of background color when saving small size for web

Hi

I have an e-commerce clothing brand and I want all  first pic having same background  color code #f3f2f0. 

In photoshop I create a solid color fill layer, with that color code. Then I export the picture and really reduce the size of the picture. I want a good loading speed on my webshop and there is many pictures. So aiming  to keep first pic around just 60kb.

But it looks like the background color  code changes when I reduce the picture. Is there a way to avoid  that?As it  looks much better when all pictures has same background color code?

Is there an embedded color profile? Is that profile preserved in Export?

 

Check here:

 

Numbers are relative to color space. The same color will yield different numbers in different color spaces (and vice versa). If there is no embedded profile, the working space is used. Note the numbers here (Hex and RGB):

Does the code change or not?  Easy to check. Probably not.

(2) Do these pics go onto a white or light background, but you worked on them on a darker background?

I do that for small thumbnails sometmes, but before saving them I change the bg to white in PS. I will then often see the thumb disappears into nothingness, needs boosts of color, contrast, sharpening, ...

Could it be this you are experiencing?

(3) Possible color management issues I leave to the experts here...

1. Yes it changes. From #f3f2f0 to #f2f3ee, super weird.

2. The pics go on to a very very  light grey background. And as it is apparel windows are next to each other in my  e-ccomerce so very clear the grey  background is different  between eachother.

    (1) I meant if it changes in the Solid Color layer settings, cos then it would be a bug. But maybe you are not actually downsizing the doc, but using size parameters during export (I only use the Legacy Save for Web...)
