Issues when updating to 23.1

I am on windows 11, and was running version 23.01.  Photoshope starting acting up, tools going crazy,  like they were possessed, the close stamp running all over an image, couldn't move image, not able to use the color picker.

I saw there was an update and installed 23.1.  When I opened it the colors, especially reds were supper staturated and images were rather posterized.  In both photoshop and Lightroom the program backrounds were red.  Brown hair was an electric auburn.

I went back to 23.01 and recalibrated my monitor.  It looks ok now, but needless to say I don't want to update anything until I know what's going on

Has anyone else reported issues like this?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. With version 23.0.1 you are not seeing any issues with the color in Photoshop, right? If anytime you see any issue with the tools or something similar try resetting your tools and preferences.

Here's how you can do that, LINK, keep a backup of your preferences before reset.

Also, the mentioned issue seems to be similar to this, have a look: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/color-management-not-working-with-photoshop-and-windows-11/m-p/12469301

Let us know if that helps.

Ranjisha

In fact it was the update to 23.1 thar caused the problem with color, although the tools did stabilize.   I had to revert to the older version to correct the color issue.
