You'll see that JPEG 2000 is not supported in all browsers.

There is a strange sentence in that article, though: 

»That’s because JPEG 2000 users can save their images in a lossless format, meaning that the file loses very little image data during compression.«

»Lossless« would mean »no image data« is lost, not »very little image data« is lost
