JPG Downloaded from Facebook Shows Wrong Creation Date

Well, the title really says it all. But, I'll do my best to elaborate a bit.

I took a photo today with my Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone which has the correct date and time set. I then sent the same photo I took (today) to myself in Facebook Messenger. I downloaded the photo from Messenger (today) on my Windows 10 laptop that has the correct date and time set. I opened to photo in Photoshop to ad my copyright to the metadata.

"Date Taken" is listed as 1/2/20 ... TEN DAYS AGO!!!

But, "Date Modified" has the actual correct date taken. What is going on?
