Jpg won't open in PS 2024 on Mac but the file natively opens in my Mac.

Jpg won't open in PS 2024 on my Mac but the file natively opens in my Mac. I edited a number of Photoshop jpgs in November and saved them. I opened PS 2024 today to resize them and PS says it can't find them. When I opened another file saved on the same day and processed on PS and it didn't have a problem. I thought this was a corrupted file but I also checked on a couple other jpgs and it's doing the same thing. Note, I can open the files natively and view them on my Mac using finder but PS won't open them. Any thoughts? I have a Macbook Pro running Mac OS Ventura Version 13.3 also running PS 2024.
